If you are interested in working as a parole officer, supervising criminal
offenders who are on parole, a criminal justice parole degree will start you on
that career path.
Many colleges offer associate's degree criminal justice programs. In such a
program, you will acquire knowledge of criminal justice theory. You'll
typically learn about corrections, juvenile delinquency, probation and parole,
and the rehabilitation of offenders. You may take courses in criminal law,
forensic evidence, criminal investigation, corporate security, criminal justice
administration, the operations of jails and prisons, and psychology. Once you
have completed your degree you'll have the academic experience necessary to
pursue a career as a parole officer. As a parole officer you will usually work
for community and correctional facilities, or for the federal government. Your
task will be to supervise criminal offenders who have been released from jail
before serving their full term. You must help offenders reintegrate into
society and make sure that they meet the requirements of their parole. With
experience as a parole officer you may advance to a correctional service
management position.
A criminal justice degree can also give you job opportunities in probation,
law enforcement, courts, and corrections.

Parole degree programs listed, please click on the college link and fill out an inquiry
